If you are driving directly to or from work, or driving is a normal part of you job and you have an accident, no matter whose fault it is, you may be eligible to claim your injury as part of WorkCover NSW. Common injuries associated with car accidents include whiplash, neck injury, dizziness, pin’s and needles in you hands or legs, mid-back pain and lower back pain.
There are 2 options for beginning your treatment through WorkCover VIC insurance claims:
Option 1 – Suitable for a workplace injury that occurred less than 6 weeks prior
- Report the incident to your supervisor.
- Attend Atlas Chiropractic Body Clinic for assessment and treatment. The standard fee is payable on the day. Once your Work Cover is approved any out of pocket expenses from the day of the incident onwards will be reimbursed back to/from your company’s Work Cover insurance.
- Go to your Doctor for a WorkCover VIC certificate detailing your injury and be sure that they refer you for chiropractic treatment.
- Give the Doctors certificate to your boss or supervisor and they will submit it to their WorkCover insurance company. Within a few days you should receive a letter detailing your WorkCover VIC claim number and a contact person.
- Bring the Work cover forms with your claim number and the insurance companies contact details into Atlas Chiropractic.
- Get the treatment you require to get better in the shortest possible time frame.
Option 2 – Suitable for workplace injuries that occurred longer than 6 weeks prior
- Report the incident to your supervisor.
- Go to your Doctor for a WorkCover VIC certificate detailing your injury and be sure that they refer you for chiropractic treatment.
- Give the Doctors certificate to your boss or supervisor and they will submit it to their work cover insurance company. Within a few days you should receive a letter detailing your WorkCover VIC claim number and a contact person.

Transport Accident Claims
Anyone can claim with TAC if a person has been apart of an accident involving a car, motorbike, train, bus or tram
And: the person involved is injured or dies due to this accident.
Pedestrians are also covered if involved in an accident caused by the driving one of these aforementioned transport options.
A claim must be lodged within 12 months of the accident you are involved in, or the date the injury caused by the accident becomes evident.
All cases must be reported to the police to be able to lodge a claim. If the police did not attend the scene then you must report it first before lodging.
